A London-based alternative investment manager launched by former Kohlberg Kravis Roberts and Oaktree Capital Management executives has inked its first solo deal, having recently made its first hire.

Njord Partners, which was launched by Arvid Trolle, a former Oaktree vice president, and Jakob Kjellberg, a former KKR director, has agreed a $10 million deal to provide a two-year convertible loan to Swiss oilfield services group, GeoQuip Marine.
