Nomura has named a new global co-head of investment banking as the Japanese lender aims to expand the division in the US and Europe.

Jeff McDermott, who joined Nomura through its acquisition of Greentech Capital Advisors in April last year, has been promoted to global co-head of investment banking for its international business, it said in a statement.
