UK stockbroker Oriel Securities is bringing a tough year to a close with a senior hire, as it looks to re-position its business for 2014.

The mid-cap broker, which was subject to several departures and takeover speculation this year, has hired a former head of securities at Canaccord Genuity as head of corporate.
