There is now even less of an excuse not to get involved with your DC pension. Financial advisers Hargreaves Lansdown have created a smartphone app that allows you to chose the shares and funds that will provide you with a bountiful retirement.

The free application, which has been downloaded over 11,000 times since hitting the iTunes platform last week, allows customers of the advisers' Vantage platform to move the money held in their workplace pension and ISA using their phone.
