Police reopen streets in Moorgate after evacuation

Police have reopened the area around Moorgate and Liverpool Street after a suspicious package was reported in the financial district just before 10am this morning, the second road closure and evacuation in the City in two days.

Armed officers and explosives teams with sniffer dogs were seen patrolling the roads just north of the Bank of England. The City of London Police said officers had been deployed to Wilson Street "following a report of a suspicious package in the area".
