Private debt fees drop to eight-year low

The fees that fund managers charge for private debt funds have dropped to an eight-year low, despite still-increasing investor interest in the sector.

Preqin, the private markets data specialist, said the average management fee on private debt funds that began raising in 2016 has fallen to 1.63% - down from 2.08% for funds that date from 2013.
