Ian Brimecome has left Merrill Lynch in New York to return to London as global head of the insurance practice at specialist investment bank Putnam Lovell Securities.

Brimecome was formerly a managing director and head of crossborder insurance in the financial institutions group at Merrill Lynch in New York. He will be based in Putnam Lovell's London office.
