PricewaterhouseCoopers Corporate Finance has helped United Transport Tankcontainers (UTT), the Dutch container group, seal a deal with 3i, the private equity house, more than a year after the search for a buyer began.
The accounting firm advised the management of UTT, a subsidiary of a transport company that is itself backed by Close Brothers Private Equity, a rival buy-out firm to 3i, on its €100m ($99m) buyout from United Transport International (UTI). 3i, the private equity firm, is backing the deal and is also using PwC for advice. KPMG Corporate Finance represented the parent company UTI.
