Ratings firms deliver mixed verdict on ICB impact

Ratings agencies warn that impact of ICB on UK banking sector is still uncertain, especially for bondholders

The two big rating agencies -- Moody's and S&P -- have given a distinctly mixed reaction to the Independent Commission on Banking's interim report, warning that the proposals leave many uncertainties for the UK banking sector, especially for bondholders.

S&P said that individual banks standalone ratings were likely to suffer from the greater funding and capital constraints in the commission's proposals.
