The global head of Royal Bank of ScotlandâÂÂs equity derivatives business has become one of the first high-profile casualties at the UK bank as it combines its investment banking business with that of ABN Amro.
David Samuel, RBSâs top equity derivatives banker, left the bank last month, and will be replaced by a senior ABN Amro equity banker, following a merger of the two businesses, according to a source close to the bank.
