Tom Ross, managing director of pension consultants bfinance in the UK, has resigned after seven years with the group to join a US fund manager.

Ross, who joined bfinance in its first year, has helped build the company into the fourth-largest UK investment consultant behind Hewitt, Mercer Investment Consulting and Watson Wyatt.
