Confirmation from two UK companies of their intention to float, and a £1 billion-plus acquisition announced by a FTSE 100 firm have seen equity and advisory bankers at Rothschild, including a recent FN Rising Star, notch up a trio of high-profile deals in the space of 24 hours.

Rothschild is financial adviser to Biffa, a waste management company, on its initial public offering on the London Stock Exchange's main market, which was announced by the company in a September 15 statement and is expected to take place in October. Biffa expects to raise £270 million from the float, which would make it the UK's largest IPO since the country's vote to leave the European Union on June 23, according to the analysis of Dealogic data.
