Rothschild has hired Jonathan Kaye — the banker who quit Moelis after a viral video emerged of him punching a woman during a New York pride event last year — to lead its business services team globally.

The mid-market focused investment bank confirmed Kaye’s appointment in a 3 March statement, a day after he agreed to a deal with prosecutors by pleading guilty to misdemeanour assault and harassment charges.
