Standard & Poor's has promoted François Veverka to executive director for Europe in a move to consolidate its EMEA ratings operations under a simpler organisational structure.

Veverka will also sit on the senior operating committee of S&P's rating service, headed by Vickie Tillman, executive vice president of S&P's rating service and chief rating officer.
