Schroder Investment Management has hired Andrew Argyle to join its fixed income team as a UK government debt specialist, a move that completes Schroder's gearing up for the expected growth of UK institutional interest in fixed income securities.

Argyle joins from Simon Pilcher's fixed income team at M&G, where he was a senior investment manager running sterling fixed income portfolios for UK pension funds. His departure follows the return of another fixed income manager to Hong Kong.
