“I told myself I would never wear a suit and tie and never work on Wall Street — and look at me,” quips Shawn Edwards, suited up and wearing his lanyard.

Bloomberg’s chief technology officer started his career as a chip designer at IBM. More than three decades later, he’s now spearheading the financial data giant’s push into AI, machine learning and other cutting-edge technologies in a bid to transform analysts and traders’ working lives.
