Stockholm-based Skandia Group, one of the largest financial services groups in Sweden, has hired Hans Svensson as a director for its strategic business development.

Svensson, who joins in August, was previously a politician in the ruling Swedish Social Democratic Party. He worked at the Ministry of Social Security in Stockholm. Svensson was also managing director of the Swedish National Social Security Association.
