Spanish mid-market firms have had their best year since before the financial crisis as domestic investors return to the market.

According to preliminary data collected by the Spanish Venture Capital and Private Equity Association, 57 transactions with equity investments of between €10 million and €100 million were completed in 2015, up from 33 transactions in 2014. The total was the highest in the mid-market since 2008, with a record of 70 transactions in 2007.
