Spectris Agrees to $5.64 Billion KKR Takeover; Withdraws Advent Recommendation

KKR’s offer provides attractive and immediate cash value for shareholders, the Spectris chairman said

Spectris agreed to a 4.1 billion pound ($5.64 billion) takeover by private equity firm Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. and withdrew its recommendation for its previously agreed takeover offer from Advent International.

The precision-measurement company said Wednesday that under the KKR deal, accepting shareholders will get 39.72 pounds in cash for each Spectris share and an interim dividend of 28 pence to be paid during fiscal 2025.
