Standard Chartered is looking to hire bankers to cover financial sponsors as part of a broader plan to boost income within its corporate and investment bank.

The UK lender said in a presentation to analysts that it was set to reorganise the way it covers private equity clients and will “invest in talents with the right skillset” as it looks to bolster revenue from financial institutions.
