The Scottish fund management mega-merger has claimed its first casualty

Standard Life Investments’ equities chief to depart

Standard Life Investments' head of equities is to leave, the firm has announced, two days after it confirmed a merger between its parent company and Aberdeen Asset Management.

David Cumming, who joined the firm in 1998 and was made head of equities in 2000, is to "pursue other interests" SLI said. He was was appointed executive director in June 2004.
