Amanda Staveley’s PCP Capital Partners has reduced its maximum claim against Barclays over its 2008 fundraising by more than half over the course of the trial, according to Barclays’ closing arguments in the case.

PCP is claiming a loss of around £660m from Barclays, according to its closing statement. Barclays’ lawyers said this had fallen from a maximum of over £1.6bn at the outset of the legal action.
