Swiss Re backed its guidance for the year ahead as it reported market-beating earnings for 2024, which benefited from new business underwriting and investment contributions from all its units.

The Zurich-based reinsurer said on Thursday that it made a net profit of $3.24 billion for the year ended Dec. 31, compared with $3.14 billion a year prior, and beating a $3.13 billion company-compiled estimate.
