Swissport, the airport ground handling company owned by UK private equity house Candover, has taken advantage of consolidation in the airport services sector with the acquisition of Cargo Services Center (CSC), the Dutch air cargo handling firm.

Pricing details of the acquisition were not disclosed. Swissport is financing the acquisition out of its operating profits supplemented by a bank loan. Swissport was advised on the acquisition by PricewaterhouseCoopers and Clifford Chance.
