Thames River Capital, the London hedge fund manager, has hired Marco Bianchi from Newman & Ragazzi, a London hedge fund manager, as head of European equity research.

Bianchi will play a central role advising the managers of Thames River Capital's European equity funds, comprising a hedge fund and two long-only funds valued at a total of €350m ($425m). The firm also runs a pair of funds focusing on Eastern Europe and several other funds.
