Shares of tea trading companies rallied this week on the back of news that the wholesale price of the UK's national drink is expected to rise by around 10% on the back of high demand and low supply.
Chirinjiv Bedi, chairman at the Indian Tea Association, said in a statement on Monday: "The prices of good premium teas will go up by 20 rupees per kg to between 210 rupees and 220 rupees per kg."
