Shares in interdealer broker Tullett Prebon on Wednesday jumped 19% after it confirmed it is in preliminary talks with a third party that may or may not lead to an offer for the company.

At 10:26 GMT, shares were up 58 pence, or 19%, at 368 pence, while the wider FTSE All-Share index was up 0.1%.
