UBS Global Asset Management, the funds arm of the Swiss bank, has hired Rob Gambi as head of European fixed income and deputy-head of its bonds business globally.

Stuart Piper, who formerly held both roles, has stepped down and returned to his old job as head of Asia Pacific fixed income.
