UBS names Karofsky sole head of investment bank as Novelli joins Euronext

The former equities chief takes sole responsibility for the Swiss bank’s investment banking unit after two years.

UBS has named its former head of equities Robert Karofsky as sole head of its investment bank as veteran dealmaker Piero Novelli has stepped down.

Karofsky will take the reins in March, the Swiss bank said in a statement, with Novelli retiring to pursue roles outside of banking including in academia and non-executive roles.
