UBS said Wednesday that it will nominate Jes Staley, a managing partner at New York-based hedge fund BlueMountain Capital Management, for election to its board of directors.

Zurich-based UBS said Staley, a former head of JP Morgan's investment bank, is also expected to join its risk committee if elected at UBS's May annual meeting.
