UBS is spending $30m for a one-off payment for its employees in a bid to boost morale during the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Swiss bank, which still has 95% of its 71,230 employees working remotely, said it was awarding its staff a one-time cash payment of around a week’s salary as a “sign of appreciation”.
