UK banks uncovered 178 staff WhatsApp breaches, FCA survey finds

Banks in the UK reported 178 breaches of their WhatsApp and Signal policies in the wake of millions in fines from US officials, Financial News can reveal.

A survey of 11 wholesale banks by the Financial Conduct Authority found that most firms continue to find breaches of their rules despite cracking down on the misuse of so-called off-channel communications, according to a survey by the UK regulator seen by FN.
