UK must ‘learn lessons’ from rival finance hubs, says Investment Association boss

The chief executive of the Investment Association has urged the UK regulator to “pay close attention” to rival financial hubs such as Saudi Arabia and Abu Dhabi, which are fast emerging as a competitive threat to London’s asset management sector.

“We live in a competitive world,” Chris Cummings told Financial News. “The UK has done extremely well building an investment management centre. But we can’t have a laissez-faire attitude.”
