UK must wake up to Asian opportunities

In financial services and related sectors such as legal and accounting, the opportunities are multiplying

British companies have been missing out on lucrative opportunities in south-east Asia. That was the clear message from David Cameron on his recent trip to the 10-country Association of Southeast Asian Nations.

The UK, the Prime Minister observed, does more business with Belgium (population 11 million) than with Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and Vietnam combined (total population 379 million).
