The UK government has published draft legislation for cryptoassets regulation in a move it says will ‘protect consumers’ and ‘boost investor confidence’ in the sector.

“Under the new rules, crypto exchanges, dealers and agents will be brought into the regulatory perimeter — cracking down on bad actors while supporting legitimate innovation,” according to an announcement on 29 April by the Treasury.
