The government of Venezuela’s disputed president Nicolas Maduro has won a UK appeal court decision in a fight over $2bn of gold held by the Bank of England.

Control of the gold held by the Bank of England for the Central Bank of Venezuela (BCV) is being contested by representatives of Maduro and representatives of Juan Guaido who also claims to be president of Venezuela after a contested election in 2018.
