Virginia court dismisses claims against BNY Mellon

Lawsuits against the bank sought damages of more than $2bn, but the state's attorney general will have to decide on a next step

Virginia attorney general Ken Cuccinelli sued the bank in August on behalf of the Virginia Retirement System and others, alleging the bank damaged the commonwealth by overcharging for foreign currency transactions.
