Wendy Mayall, former chief investment officer at Unilever pension scheme, has been appointed to the same position at life company LV=, previously known as Liverpool Victoria.

She made the move after stepping down as head of strategy at consulting firm Stamford Associates in February. She will supervise LV= funds totalling £10bn, managed by Threadneedle Investments following an outsourcing deal between the two last year.
