West LB Panmure has hired Tamzin Hobday, a former head of retail pension fund investment at Standard Life, as a director in its pan-European equity research team in London.

Hobday has worked for both buy-side and sell-side institutions including Baring Securities in New York and London as a top-ranked Latin American strategist and Merrill Lynch Securities focusing on Latin American sales.
