When Emily Monastiriotis was thinking about standing for the top job at City law firm Simmons & Simmons, she ran the new role past her 13-year-old daughter.

“I made her part of my decision-making process… and it was one of the most wholesome discussions I have ever had in my life,” Monastiriotis tells Financial News.
