A law firm representing more than 11,000 investors in Neil Woodford's former flagship investment fund has begun court proceedings against the administrator overseeing what was once the UK's best-selling investment vehicle.

Leigh Day has become the first firm to kick-start legal proceedings on behalf of an initial group of 100 investors in Woodford Equity Income, which collapsed in October 2019 following a suspension put in place by Link Fund Solutions four months previously.
