XTX Markets plots €1bn data centre complex in Finland

Five centres planned to handle data behind $250bn of daily trades

Algorithmic trading firm XTX Markets plans to spend more than €1bn developing a data centre complex in Finland to manage the vast information behind its high-speed trading.

The London-based firm has started building the first centre and intends to seek planning permission for four more on its 478-acre site in the central Finland town of Kajaani.
