Pierre-Andre Boutin, formerly of Close Finsbury Asset Management, is joining 3i Investments, the European venture capital firm, in November and will manage 3i European Technology Trust.

Boutin was lead fund manager of Close Finsbury EuroTech Trust. His role will be filled by Mike Bourne, managing director of the trust and other members of his team. At 3i Boutin is replacing Mike Prentis who has moved on to manage the 3i Smaller Quoted Companies Trust.
