Tighe Sullivan, a managing partner at private equity firm 3i Group, died on Tuesday in a helicopter crash at the age of 51.

In a statement, 3i expressed its condolences to Sullivan's family and friends, as well as his colleagues in the firm's New York debt management team. Sullivan was returning from a golf trip in the US when the crash occurred.
