A bull in your wine cellar

Ever wondered how much your wine cellar is really worth? Then dust off those bottles and check out the London International Vintners Exchange's equivalent of the FTSE 100 for fine wine. Perhaps you have a case of Château Lafite Rothschild 2000, a top performer over the past three months, or even a bottle or two of Domaine de la Romanée-Conti Richebourg 1999, which has leapt a staggering 138.2% in value over the past year.

Former stockbrokers James Miles and Justin Gibbs, founders of the electronic marketplace for fine wine, have spent 100,000 virtual pounds on 996 bottles of the finest wine to create the fantasy cellar: the Liv-ex 100 fine wine benchmark, which went live last month.
