Aberdeen Asset Managers' new US equity team under the stewardship of Katherine Garrett-Cox will run the US large cap equity portion of the £300m American Monthly Income Trust, a new Jersey-based split capital investment company.

A split capital trust invests in both equities and fixed income. For the new investment company, the assets will be divided between US large cap equities, with a growth bias, and fixed income as well as other high yielding stocks.
