ABN Amro has hired a former ING Barings BHF mergers and acquisitions director for the bank's German operations.

Elvin Mayer joins the Dutch bank as a director within the corporate finance group, based in Frankfurt. He will be part of the global automotive group, and will work closely with the industry teams in London and New York.
