ABN Amro has hired Mike Elliff, previously with UBS, to head its debt capital markets business in central and eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa, a position created in the wake of the accession of ten new countries to the European Union.

At UBS Elliff spent three years in a similar role. Before that he worked in origination at JP Morgan for eight years.
