ABN Amro has promoted Huibert Boumeester to take charge of its asset management business in a move which will see him relinquish the position of UK country head which he has held for just a month.
Boumeester will head ABN Amro Asset Management following the retirement of Tom Cross Brown, and assumes his new buy-side role on January 1. He has held several sell-side roles at the Dutch bank including global head of sub-investment grade debt origination and only a month ago was appointed UK country head in addition to leading the integrated energy business within the wholesale client division.
