Abrdn outflows continue as eyes turn to future market volatility

The asset manager reported a dip in assets under management and administration to £532bn

FTSE 100-listed asset manager Abrdn has posted net outflows of £5.6bn, as its chief executive warned of further pandemic-related market volatility ahead.

While operating profit came in at £160m in the firm's half-year results, the firm's boss cautioned that quantitative easing and cheap borrowing was helping prop up markets.
